ADAMSDOWN ALIEN INVASION Adamsdown Square, Cardiff Royal Infirmary, and Adam Street car park are just three of the places that have ben invaded. But don't panic! Adamsdown has been used by the BBC as a location for about a dozen episodes of Dr Who and its spin-off Torchwood.
Cardiff Royal Infirmary was used for the very first episode of the new era of Dr Who, 'Rose'. This episode featured Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor, but episodes featuring the most recent Doctor, David Tennant, have also been filmed in Adamsdown. Cardiff Royal Infirmary was used once again for 'The Idiots Lantern' and Adam Street car park was featured in 'Love and Monsters' both starring David Tennant. Adamsdown Square was used for an episode of Torchwood called 'Ghost Machine'.
